Is There a Way to Buy Cheap Ringtones?

Just about ten years ago, everything related to cell phones was so expensive. Twenty years ago, cell phones were playthings of only the rich and the famous. But today, cell phones and everything that relates to them have become so cheap that almost everyone is strutting around with the latest cell phone that hits the market. The services and accessories have gone from cheap to cheaper also, and so is the case with the ringtones.

There is no need to tell you how important a good ringtone is for your cell phone. Also, it is important to have a range of ringtones. After all, you cannot use the same ringtone in a party that you use during an office meeting, right? You need to have a collection. Now, before you start talking about the cost of it, let me tell you - the prices of ringtones have not just hit the ground today, they have gone deep underground!

There was a time when you had to buy single ringtones from your cellular services themselves. They would send you SMSes with download links from where you could obtain your ringtones. The charges would be levied in your monthly bill. This was usually the process. There were other methods too, but the common factor was that you were charged per ringtone and that could be anywhere between $5 to $25 per ringtone depending on the service and the popularity of the tune.

Today, for $20, you can get an unlimited supply of ringtones. It does not matter whether the ringtone is Rihanna's latest or the Rolling Stones' oldest. It does not matter if it is a MIDI (who uses that nowadays?!) or a polyphonic or even a true tone. It does not matter which service you are using. You can buy cheap ringtones for a flat monthly rate.

There are website that allow you to buy cheap ringtones in this manner. All you have to do is set up your account with them and they will allow you to download the ringtone directly to your computer, from where you can convert it to your cell phone. Or, you can use Bluetooth and just transfer the tone to your mobile phone. All it takes is one click.

And the selection? You can get almost any tone in the world. The range here is international, which is much better than the local specials that you get from your cell phone provider. You can even make your own ringtones and install them on your cell phone.

One last word: there are some websites that provide you free ringtones too. Of course you can use them! But they may not have as complete a selection as the websites you can buy cheap ringtones from.
